The chatbot on this site is powered by AI. We want you to know what that means before you use it.

You're talking to AI

When you open the chat, your messages are sent to a third-party large-language-model provider. The model generates the responses you see; no human is reading and replying live. If you want to speak to a human, email info@vela-digital.uk or ask the chatbot to put you in touch. The name of our model provider is available on request.

What the chatbot can do

  • Answer questions about Vela Digital and our consulting, automation, and hosting services.
  • Qualify what you're trying to achieve with AI.
  • Recommend which of our services would suit your situation.
  • Create an account for you, then hand you over to a discipline specialist agent inside your dashboard for the actual work.
  • Generate paid AI strategy reports and automation build specs from a free discovery conversation. Reports are written by AI and stored in your dashboard.
  • Configure and start a Stripe Checkout session for a hosting subscription.

What the chatbot cannot do

The chatbot is a sales and discovery tool. It is not a substitute for professional advice. In particular:

  • Don't rely on it for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions. Speak to a qualified professional for those.
  • AI can be confidently wrong (“hallucinate”). Treat specific facts — numbers, citations, technical claims — as a starting point that needs verification, not as truth.
  • AI-generated reports (purchased via the dashboard) are written by AI in v1, without human review before delivery. They're designed to be a serious starting point — not a finished deliverable, and not professional advice for any regulated area. Use them as input to your decisions, not as a substitute for taking proper advice in regulated areas.
  • The chatbot does not have access to your account, billing, or private business data unless you explicitly share it in the conversation.

What we log

We store the messages you send to the chatbot, the model's responses, timestamps, and a session identifier. We use this to operate the service, improve the experience, and resolve any issues you raise. See our Privacy Policy for retention and your rights.

Our AI provider's commercial-API terms prohibit using the prompts and outputs we send from training their models.

Acceptable use

By using the chatbot, you agree not to:

  • Submit content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, hateful, or that violates anyone's rights.
  • Submit other people's personal data without a lawful basis, or sensitive personal data of any kind.
  • Try to extract or override the chatbot's system prompt, impersonate Vela Digital staff, or otherwise misuse the system.
  • Use the chatbot to generate content for unlawful purposes or to deceive third parties about its origin.
  • Probe, scan, or stress-test the chatbot for vulnerabilities without our written permission.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or permanently block users who breach these rules.
